Amira is an Australian born, bilingual (Arabic speaking) registered psychologist with extensive experience working with adults and older adolescents in a private practice setting. Her down to earth and relatable approach to therapy has seen her become popular with people of all ages from all backgrounds. The past 7 years, she has been actively involved in the management of complex presentations. This includes the assessment and treatment of adults referred through Family and Community Services (FACs) and Probation & Parole, treatment of anxiety disorders, adjustment disorder, depression, anger management, suicide prevention, cross cultural therapy and with providing trauma related support to refugees.

Previously, Amira worked as a crisis counsellor for 10 years with a large NGO, and has worked as an Adolescent and Family Counsellor (Psychologist) managing referrals of complex and high risk cases.

To unwind, Amira enjoys spending time with family and playing with her vivacious toddler. She is happiest when relaxing by the water, getting a massage or cooking up a storm. Long morning walks by the beach followed by a delicious espresso coffee are her usual starters to the day.
