Michaela is a highly experienced psychologist who has successfully helped many people through times of hardship and struggle. She works with older adolescents, adults, older adults and couples.

Michaela believes that human beings have an innate capacity to heal themselves under the right conditions and with the right support.

Although Michaela uses a variety of different therapies (see below), she sees her primary role as providing those she works with with a safe and trusting space in which to explore their problems. This means that she doesn’t set the agenda but instead brings her presence as a “fellow traveller” and is more like a “guide” than an “expert”. She won’t provide the answers, but she aims to help people find them. What each person or couple “wants” for their life or relationship, what changes they perceive they need to make to attain that vision and how they can access the necessary resources (both inside and outside themselves) to be able to enact these changes – are things that Michaela is very interested in exploring with those she supports.
