Jemima is an Argentina-born, Australian-raised bilingual (Spanish) Clinical Psychologist. She completed her Bachelor of Psychological Sciences with Honours degree at La Trobe University (Melbourne) in 2011 and her Master of Clinical Psychology degree at Griffith University (Gold Coast) in 2019. Her cross cultural life experiences, professional work history in health care improvement and academic research evaluating post-traumatic stress of resettled refugees has seen her work effectively with individuals of all backgrounds.
Jemima has experience in working with a variety of populations and presentations including autism, anxiety, phobia, depression, trauma, adjustment problems, relationship difficulties and stress management. Jemima has also worked as a mental health support officer for an NDIS care provider offering support to clients with psychosis and a history of drug and alcohol misuse.
Jemima believes that her role in therapy is to support individuals in discovering their inner strength to overcome adversity while equipping them with practical strategies to deal with life’s difficulties. She typically works with clients aged 18 years and over using a variety of evidence-based techniques, depending on client preference and suitability.
Jemima enjoys spending time with her family, venturing out on her jet ski and looking for cafes with a view. She is happiest when going on road trips or having a coffee by the beach.
