Brittany is a Provisional Psychologist currently completing her sixth year of training in the Master of Professional Psychology. She has worked in mental health and youth support since 2018, supporting individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges.
Brittany’s passion for psychology began through her early work supporting young people navigating academic, personal, and life challenges. Working closely with adolescents and young adults during times of transition sparked a deep interest in understanding human behavior, emotional wellbeing, and the ways people adapt to change. These early experiences shaped her desire to help people feel supported, understood, and empowered to move forward in their lives.
Brittany completed her Bachelor of Psychological Science in regional Victoria, her Honours year at the University of Queensland, and her Master’s training through Southern Cross University. Throughout her training and career, she has gained experience across a range of settings including mental health triage, youth support services, behavioral support, special needs school counselling, eating disorder services, and general mental health clinics.
She has worked in both outpatient and inpatient mental health settings, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, addiction, chronic pain, trauma, and suicidality. Her experience includes facilitating individual and group-based therapy programs, delivering psychoeducation, supporting risk screening and safety planning under supervision, and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Brittany also has a strong interest in the mind–body connection and is passionate about helping people reconnect with their bodies in safe, compassionate, and sustainable ways. She is particularly interested in working with individuals across the lifespan to improve their relationship with their bodies, self-esteem, and body image. This includes supporting concerns such as body dissatisfaction, exercise dependence, disordered eating patterns, and developing a more intuitive, balanced, and respectful relationship with food and movement. Brittany values the integration of movement, breathwork, holistic health practices, and an understanding of the relationship between nutrition and psychology as part of overall wellbeing.
Alongside her clinical work, Brittany has contributed to mental health education and wellbeing content across podcasts, video, and digital platforms, helping translate psychological science into accessible and meaningful conversations.
Brittany takes a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental approach to therapy. She works holistically and person-centred, drawing on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies. Her aim is to create a safe space where clients can develop self-awareness, self-compassion, and practical tools to move towards a more balanced and fulfilling life.
