About Lucy Wilkins

**Accepting new clients from August 2026**

Lucy is a Provisional Psychologist currently completing her final year of the Master of Clinical Psychology program. She previously completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at Griffith University. Lucy has experience working across both private and public mental health settings, including inpatient services and the Project Air service, where she supported individuals experiencing personality-related difficulties during periods of acute distress and crisis.

Lucy works from a psychodynamic and attachment informed perspective, guided by curiosity about how early relationships and life experiences shape the way people relate to themselves, others, and the world around them. Her work focuses on what sits beneath the surface of symptoms, including emotions that can be difficult to access, express, or make sense of. She explores how these underlying emotional experiences and protective patterns contribute to the difficulties people bring to therapy.

Lucy adopts a relational and integrative approach to therapy, recognising that meaningful exploration often occurs within the context of a safe, authentic, and collaborative therapeutic relationship. Alongside psychodynamic and attachment-based principles, she draws on evidence-based interventions from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Lucy works with individuals across the lifespan, with a particular interest in attachment difficulties, trauma, personality disorders, anxiety and mood disorders. Alongside working with adults, Lucy also works with adolescents, children and their families.

Lucy is passionate about supporting people to build a more compassionate and authentic connection with themselves. She believes that therapy is a deeply human experience. One that provides space to make sense of life’s challenges, explore patterns with compassion, and reconnect with parts of ourselves that may have been overlooked, protected, or lost along the way.

Outside of the therapy room, Lucy is often reliably up to date with the latest reality TV, always has a sweet treat within reach, and believes both are important forms of self-care.
